Raf lives on the poor side of London while his best friend, Ruben, lives in the richer part of town. Both like motorbike racing, but Raf is more obsessed with it than Ruben. Raf works on building a bike that will, in his eyes, win the world championship one day. His father is a drunk and does not want Raf to worry about motorcycle racing. He does what he can to discourage him, but Raf has no intentions on following his father’s footsteps. In the meantime, Ruben’s father buys him a shiny, new motorcycle that out does Raf’s by a mile. It is an unfair world for Raf, but he is never discouraged from striving for his goal.
