Amidst the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong during World War II, three friends struggle under the brutal occupation. The story of the struggles in Hong Kong, are narrated by woman named Nam. Her father runs a successful rice business and she prone to debilitating seizures. With the help of her childhood friend, and an actress named Fay, they attempt to escape Hong Kong, but the The Battle of Hong Kong thwarts their plans.
