Eventually he decides to leave the mob because he wants all the money and power for himself. He ends up screwing over a powerful local loan shark whom everybody else is afraid of. Many of Greene’s neighbors begin to call him Robin Hood because of the how he fights all the powerful people and keeps an eye out on people in his neighborhood. Greene actually believes that he is ancient Celtic warrior who has been reborn in the 1970’s. Greene also gets into a fight over who controls Cleveland and over money owed to the loan shark with the New York mob and him battling back and forth. There are numerous car bombs set off across the city of Cleveland. Greene survives numerous assassination attempts and even comes back at the mob, killing many Mafia figures. The film is narrated by a police officer who was involved in capturing many of the Mafia leaders during this time and the film incorporates news footage of the real Danny Greene.
