Lovestruck by the voice of radio worker Janhavi, Munna plans to meet her through a contest about Gandhi. The contest is set to occur on Gandhi's birthday, a national holiday. Circuit helps Munna win through the kidnapping and bribing of professors. Munna wins an interview with Jahnavi, posing as a history professor. Janhavi asks him to give a lecture to a group of seniors. To save face, Munna studies at the Gandhi institute for 72 hours, ignoring food and sleep. It is here that Gandhi seems to appear, helping Munna out. Gandhi tells Munna to come clean, but Munna resists. With the Mahatma at his side, Munna impresses Janhavi and remakes himself into a disciple of Gandhi. Munna now co-hosts with Janhavi and the image of Gandhi, imploring his audience to use Gandhism to solve daily problems. A notable sideplot involves the unsavory businessman, Lucky Singh, and his daughter Simran. Lucky uses Munna and Circuit to pull criminal jobs for him. Simran is to marry Sunny, son of the superstitious businessman, Kkhurana. Kkhurana does nothing without consulting his astrologer Batuk, even adding a K to his name because of numerology. Batuk also gets Kkhurana to refuse Simran and Sunny's marriage after Batuk regards Simran as a person destined to end marriages. Lucky runsto the senior center by sending Munna to Goa, then blackmailing to forget it or forever lose Janhavi. Munna retaliates nonviolently, protesting by having lucky flowers sent to Lucky to cure him of his dishonesty. While the protest goes on, Munna reveals the truth to Janhavi in print. She leaves him, with further trouble for Munna in the form of recorded conversations between himself and Gandhi's image being revealed to the public. During this confab, Munna realizes that he is the only one to have learn from Gandhi, regarded as evidence of delusions by a professional. The film ends with Gandhi's image questioning this. Lucky turns good, sending Janhavi back to Munna and becoming a student of Gandhism.
