Leprechaun 2 is a 1994 horror-comedy film directed by Rodman Flender and starring Warwick Davis as the titular character, a malevolent leprechaun seeking a bride to continue his lineage. Charlie Heath and Shevonne Durkin also star in the film. The movie begins hundreds of years ago in Ireland, where a young leprechaun named Lubdan is preparing to marry his true love, the beautiful princess of his people. However, before the nuptials can take place, the leprechaun's servant warns him of a dark prophecy that says if he marries before the full moon, his bride will die and he will lose his powers. Dismissing the warning, Lubdan goes ahead with the ceremony, and sure enough, his bride-to-be is killed by a deadly stroke. He is then betrayed and sealed in a crate by his own servant, where he is hidden away until the present day.

Fast forward to modern-day Los Angeles, where an unsuspecting man named Cody unwittingly sets Lubdan free from his box. The leprechaun soon sets his sights on Cody's girlfriend, Bridget, whom he believes is his true love reincarnated. With the help of his trusty sidekick, a mischievous troll named Morty, Lubdan begins a deadly game of cat and mouse with Cody and Bridget, using his magical powers to terrorize and murder anyone who gets in his way.

As the body count rises, Cody and Bridget must find a way to stop the leprechaun before he can complete his macabre quest for a bride. Along the way, they enlist the help of a drunken old man who claims to have battled with Lubdan before, as well as a psychic who senses the evil emanating from the tiny creature.

Leprechaun 2 is a unique blend of horror and comedy, with Warwick Davis delivering a top-notch performance as the malevolent leprechaun. The film features plenty of gruesome kills and supernatural shenanigans, along with some genuinely funny moments courtesy of Morty the troll. The special effects are somewhat dated by today's standards, but they still hold up reasonably well and add to the film's overall charm.

One of the movie's highlights is the character of Lubdan himself, who is equal parts terrifying and hilarious. Warwick Davis imbues the character with a mischievous energy that makes him both fun to watch and genuinely frightening at times. His leprechaun makeup and costumes are also well done, giving him a distinct look and making him stand out from other horror movie villains.

The supporting cast also does a good job, particularly Charlie Heath as the hapless Cody and Shevonne Durkin as his plucky girlfriend, Bridget. The two have a believable chemistry, and their relationship gives the audience someone to root for amidst all the chaos.

Overall, Leprechaun 2 is a great example of the horror-comedy subgenre and a lot of fun to watch. It may not be a masterpiece of cinema, but it's an entertaining romp that fans of both horror and comedy are sure to enjoy. If you're looking for a good laugh and some gruesome kills, give this film a try.

Leprechaun 2 is a 1994 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 25 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
