Life's Too Short is a mock documentary show that aired at the end of 2012. It is written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The show stars Warwick Davis as an exaggerated version of himself. The supporting cast consists of Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Steve Brody, Rosamund Hanson, Jo Enright, and Shaun Williamson. It is about his struggles in show business to get quality roles, and trying to duplicate a fraction of the fame he had two decades earlier. The show ran for 8 episodes. The series begins with Warwick Davis introducing himself and talking about the level of success he has achieved in his life. It is obvious that his fame came a decade or two before, but Warwick is having trouble grasping that he may not be as famous as he once was. His ego causes his wife to leave him early on. This is the reason he has agreed to allow a documentary about himself to be made. He starts off by visiting his agents, Ricky and Stephen. They do not take his visit seriously and let him know that they have nothing for him. Warwick is feeling down, and this provides the realization that little people should have their own company of agents to represent them. He goes out and finds a new secretary to help begin this new venture. In between him trying to run his new business, it shows him still trying to be famous. He is shown at conventions where he signs autographs for movies he used to appear in, and is even asked to come to a wedding dressed as one of his old characters. He thinks he is famous enough to come as himself, and is offended that he would have to dress up. Furthermore, when roles start coming in for his new casting agency, he begins to hog all the good roles. This causes all the clients he represents to despise him.
