However, her younger cousin, Edward, is kind to her and they develop a great friendship. Unfortunately, many years later things begin to change when Fanny's uncle leaves, and the Bertram family gets unwanted visitors named Henry and Mary Crawford. As Edward falls in love with Mary, he begins ignoring Fanny, and things begin to spiral down hill.
