Unfortunately, they were unable to take care of such a large family and decided to send Fanny to live with her relatives. Fanny was sent to live with the Bertram family, their four kids, who happened to be Fanny's cousins, and her aunt Norris. However, they do not want anything to do with Fanny when it comes to a family relationship. Sadly, Fanny did not receive a kind or warm welcome and it was made clear from day one that she would be treated differently. In fact, Fanny was not treated like family at all, but more like the family servant. As more time goes by, Fanny feels overwhelmed and depressed being separated from her real family. However, her younger cousin, Edward, is kind to her and they develop a great friendship. Unfortunately, many years later things begin to change when Fanny's uncle leaves, and the Bertram family gets unwanted visitors named Henry and Mary Crawford. As Edward falls in love with Mary, he begins ignoring Fanny, and things begin to spiral down hill.
