Mohini is a horror-thriller movie released in 2018, directed by R. Madhesh and starring Trisha Krishnan, Jackky Bhagnani, and Mukesh Tiwari in lead roles. The movie revolves around the story of Mohini (played by Trisha), a spirit who seeks revenge against a group of people who destroyed her life in her past. The movie begins with the introduction of Vaishnavi (played by Trisha), a popular chef who runs a cooking channel on social media. She attracts the attention of Sandeep (played by Jackky Bhagnani), a businessman who wishes to collaborate with her. At the same time, a group of people who are related to Sandeep's business are brutally murdered by an unknown entity, and the police fail to find the culprit.

Meanwhile, Vaishnavi's best friend, Gayathri (played by Yogi Babu), discovers a strange book that mentions the story of Mohini, a benevolent spirit who was wrongly accused of being a witch and was killed by the same group of people who were murdered recently. Gayathri believes that Mohini's spirit must be responsible for the murders, and tries to warn Vaishnavi about it.

Vaishnavi disregards Gayathri's warning as superstition, but soon begins to experience strange incidents around her. She realizes that Mohini's spirit is indeed after her, and seeks the help of a paranormal investigator (played by Pandiarajan) to get rid of the ghost. The scene is set for a race against time to solve the mystery of Mohini and stop her from wreaking havoc.

The movie's plot is engaging and keeps the audience glued to their seats. Trisha Krishnan's performance as Mohini is exceptional, and she manages to terrify the audience with her convincing acting. Jackky Bhagnani, too, delivers a good performance as Sandeep, and Mukesh Tiwari as the villain is menacing.

The movie's production values are top-notch, with some impressive visual effects and sound design that add to the overall eerie atmosphere of the movie. The movie also boasts some tight action sequences, which are well choreographed and executed.

One of the movie's highlights is its music, composed by Vivek-Mervin. The songs are catchy and well-suited to the movie's theme, and the background score is effective in adding to the movie's overall suspense.

The movie does have its share of flaws, though. The pace of the movie slows down in places, and some scenes feel unnecessary and unconvincing. The movie's climax, too, feels rushed and haphazard, and some loose ends are left unexplained.

All in all, Mohini is a decent horror movie that manages to spook the audience with its compelling storyline and convincing performances by the lead actors. It's definitely worth a watch for fans of the horror genre.

Mohini is a 2018 comedy with a runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.1.
