The movie Novo 2002, is a romantic comedy centered on the experiences of Graham who was suffering from memory loss. It was so severe that he could hardly remember things he said or did even a few hours after doing them. In order not to miss out on getting tasks done and at the right time, he developed the attitude of writing everything somewhere on some piece of paper this included the names of all the people he knew, all the things that need to be done by him and at what time, he even had to write down the name of the place where he was working. Graham’s experiences at his job site were not pleasant as he was exploited due to his handicap. For instance, his immediate boss who knew what he was going through took advantage of the situation and lured him to go to bed with her. He later came across a lady known as Irene whom he started dating but still had the trouble of forgetting who she was to him. Irene in an attempt to remedy the situation wrote her name on Grahams’ chest so that whenever he looked at his chest he would see her name. Graham set out on a search for his note-book which was taken as per his boss’ instructions. While on the search, he came across Antoine a little boy who he thought was his son. This little boy was also sent by Grahams’ boss to manipulate him. Graham who was undergoing some therapy got impatient and wanted to leave the clinic but his therapist would not let him. He tried to convince his therapist that he had regained some part of his memory to no avail. However, he succeeded in escaping through one of the windows and was joined by his little Antoine with whom he escaped. After he absconded from the therapy whereby he claimed he was fine and wanted to leave, he still could not remember people as he even came across Irene but could not recognize her or remember who she was.
