Once Upon a Time in China is a 1991 martial arts film that was made in Hong Kong. The film begins with a local militia being raised in order to combat the growing influence and fear brought by a group of westerners who have come to the region of Foshan. When the militia finally gets to the region they discover that the westerners have brought crime and human trafficking to the area. This includes a gang that is demanding women and protection money from local businesses. A group of martial arts specialists decide to fight the gang. This culminates in them sneaking in the western military base in order to fight the gang members.
