Paris is a movie of intertwining stories set in the city of lights and Africa centering around eight characters. Pierre, a dancer who desperately needs a heart transplant, reflects on his life and career as he awaits news of a donor. His sister, Elise, who takes care of him, tries to maintain her job as a social worker in the midst of union contract negotiations. Khadija is a recent immigrant from North Africa who works against prejudice in bakery. Laetitia, on the other hand, is a well-to-do student who lives across from Pierre and is receiving advances from a secret admirer. The Verneuil brothers try to deal with the recent loss of their father. Roland wishes for his brother's life. Philippe's life is anything but perfect as a major project at work threatens to come crashing down. These and other characters interact in a story about modern life in the city of Paris. It is a story about change, about hope, and about appreciating what it is that we truly have.
