- 1 hr 35 min
Everyone needs to feel alive and nothing does that more for some people than watching a horror movie. Basically, nothing can make a person feel more alive than being frightened. One movie that can give a person that feeling of being so alive unlike no other would be that of ‘Pumpkinhead IV: The Blood Feud.’ Those who remember the original ‘Pumpkinhead’ will also remember Lance Henrickson’s iconic character, Ed Harley, who plays such a pivotal role in this chapter as well. This particular chapter centers on the ongoing feud of the Hatfields and McCoys, who have been at each other’s throats since a member of the Hatfield clan was injured in a hit and run accident by a member of the McCoy clan. The ending result of this incident is a hatred between the two families, with one exception. Jodie Hatfield and Ricky McCoy have fallen in love, but because of their families’ fighting they must keep their love affair a secret. However, they have plans to rectify the situation by running away from their families’ and eloping so that they can begin their life anew without the stigma of their families’ feuding. Sadly, even more complications arise because of Jodie’s brothers who discover the lovers together and beat up Ricky. Although their actions were most definitely reprehensible, that Hatfield brothers do not feel that they have sufficiently dealt with the issue as they see it so they take it upon their selves to merit out punishment. Unfortunately, they choose Ricky’s innocent sister to brutalize and take things way too far resulting in the girl’s death. Ricky, having witnessed the incident and attempting to stop the brutality, ends up being beaten and unable to prevent his sister’s death. Enraged over the attack on his beloved sister Ricky seeks the help of Haggis, the mountain witch to conjure the vengeful spirit of Pumpkinhead to avenge his sister’s death. Seeking to fulfill Ricky’s bloody vengeance by murdering every member of the Hatfield clan, with the exception of Jodie. The story follows the attempts to stop the creature before it can destroy everyone in its path, however, the only way to stop the carnage involves separating Ricky and Jodie forever.
