Sid and Nancy is a 1986 movie based on punk star Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungeon. The movie starts off with Sid being removed by police from the Chelsea Hotel in New York City as Nancy’s dead body is removed from the hotel room in which they were staying. It then shows the Sid character in the police station being questioned by police. After a few more police station scene minutes the story opens.

The story opens on Sid and friend Johnny smashing a car in a street as a police man scold them. They then throw a brick through the window of a friend and are invited up. This is where Sid meets Nancy as she quickly compliments the boys on their success as band members in The Sex Pistols. The movie then starts showing the couple as their relationship grows and as they become heroin addicts. There are many scenes in which they fight and also cause trouble for others. Nancy starts causing trouble between Sid and his band.

The band eventually is seen touring the USA and shows Sid calling Nancy confessing how much he misses her. Eventually after much self-destruction Sid lands himself in the hospital and The Sex Pistols break up. Sid and Nancy then move into the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. The fighting between the couple quickly escalates and Sid is shown stabbing Nancy. The couple falls asleep as Nancy bleeds on the bed she then wakes up and stumbles to the bathroom and onto the floor only to die. We then pick up at the beginning of the movie where Sid is being accused.

The movie ends with Sid walking to a well-dressed Nancy and getting into a car as they ride off into the sky. In the very last scene the viewer is informed that Sid died of a heroin overdose.
