Watch Suicide Squad
- 57 min
In every large city in the 1930's there was a rescue patrol, a band of daredevils whose hazardous occupation and intrepid courage appropriately designated them as the Suicide Squad. Grim, tough men apart from their fellows, they fought through bombings, riots, prison breaks, subway wrecks, sinking ships and major disasters to save human lives. Larry Baker joined the Suicide Squad after a considerable amount of wheeling and dealing with the captain, whose daughter he was dating. Once a full-fledged member of the group, Larry proved himself to be more than capable of handling the difficult job. Larry was talented but more than a little arrogant when it came to his great deeds. The more the squad worked with him, the more they resented him. His girlfriend, Mary O'Connor, started to become ashamed that she'd let him pester her father into getting a job at all. Larry began to exploit his friendship with a reporter called "Snaps", spending more time talking to his media about his exploits than actually keeping the populace safe. As he became a media sensation, Larry hogged the spotlight at the expense of the rest of the squad. As Larry's arrogance grew, the squad began to question whether Larry deserved to be a member. One incident would determine Larry's fate, a blazing inferno that could cost him the ones he held most dear. When Mary and her brother Mickey are trapped in the blaze, it was up to Larry to prove whether he a cowardly publicity hound or a hero.
