The 2013 movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a horror film that serves as a prequel to the original 1974 movie of the same name. The story follows a group of young friends on a road trip to New Orleans, but along the way they make a detour to visit a house that belonged to one of the friend's deceased grandparents. Upon arriving at the house, they realize it has been vandalized and ransacked. They start to explore the house and the surrounding area, only to stumble upon a shocking discovery - Leatherface, a notorious and deranged killer who wears a mask made of human skin, is living in the house.

The friends quickly become his targets as they try to escape his clutches and seek help from law enforcement. But Leatherface is not the only one they have to worry about - his family, who are just as psychotic and disturbing as he is, are also determined to keep their secrets safe and protect Leatherface at any cost.

The main character of the movie is Heather, played by Alexandra Daddario, who is one of the friends on the road trip. She takes charge and is determined to protect her friends from Leatherface and his family. Dan Yeager plays the infamous Leatherface, and he does an excellent job of bringing the character to life with his eerie and haunting performance.

Tremaine Trey Songz' Neverson plays Ryan, Heather's boyfriend, who is protective of her but also gets into trouble with his own shenanigans. Tania Raymonde plays Nikki, a free-spirited friend who makes some questionable decisions that lead them all into danger. Thom Barry plays Sheriff Hooper, who is sympathetic to Heather's plight but ultimately powerless to stop Leatherface and his family.

Paul Rae and Bill Moseley play the two members of Leatherface's family who are the most vocal and unhinged, while Scott Eastwood and Shaun Sipos play two friends who join the group later on in the movie and suffer the consequences of being caught up in the horror that ensues.

The movie is full of suspense and gore, and the tension never lets up throughout. The cinematography is dark and gritty, which perfectly complements the ominous tone of the film. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is known for its portrayal of unrelenting horror, and this movie is no exception.

Overall, the 2013 Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a worthy addition to the franchise. It pays homage to the original while also bringing something new to the table. It's a must-see for fans of horror movies, and it's guaranteed to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a 2013 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 32 minutes.
