During an ill-fated tank battle in the desert during World War II, a British captain seeks refuge in a Bedouin camp. Years later, his brother travels into the desert in search of the captain. While there, he meets resistance and a young blond boy that, in that camp, could only be the offspring of his brother. He is sent away without the captain, but with a diary that tells an incredible story of the missing years. He must then decide how to proceed with his brother's best interests in mind.
