The Home Song Stories is family drama movie about a young woman from China who gets married to an Australian man from Melbourne. She gives up her career as a night club singer and decides to run off with the Australian sailor. After they have two children, they move back to Australia together but the young woman feels very lonely and out of place. The plot behind this movie shows how hard it is to overcome some things in foreign lands, and she has to learn about herself through trial, error, and an affair with another immigrant from Hong Kong. The movie is seen through the eyes of her young son.
