This other-worldly film by writer and director Caradog W. James takes-off where Spielberg's AI left-off. The Machine is a representative feature which occupies the Sci-Fi category for the 2014 movie season. Like many previous AI engineers, two scientists (Dennis Lawson and Toby Stevens) finish their greatest creation. This being (Caity Lopez) is the first fully self-aware robot being ever created. Immediately, the bot's creators are faced with the inevitable question of the thoughts and feelings of a near perfect artificial creation.

The artificial being is created in a time where world powers are deciding whether to use new cybernetic technology in the realm of conquest, or the expansion of human awareness. When the first completely autonomous artificial being is created and made to function independently, it quickly begins to supersede all other human constructs. The Machine is made to be much more than a life-like synthetic replica. Once perfected, she begins to form opinions and feelings about the world see was manufactured for. The Machine's creators and the public must find a way to reconcile their belief with a strange new future filled with beings who are pieced-together, rather than born and raised!
