In this British mystery thriller, it has been five years since George Radcliffe helped to convict a killer with his testimony. But his wife Martha has reason to become increasingly disturbed about this criminal matter. She has recently received an extortion letter in the mail, accusing her husband of being the real killer. This gives her a reason to suspect that he perjured himself on the witness stand in order to send an innocent main to jail. She is torn between believing the man she loves and wondering if she is living with a murderer.
