The Way West

The Way West is a 1967 epic Western, The all-star cast includes Kirk Douglas, Robert Mitchum and Richard Widmark. The story takes place in the 1840s. Douglas plays U.S. Senator William Tadlock from Missouri. He decides to head west along the Oregon Trail, Mitchum plays a trail guide named Dick Summers. The wagon train includes a number of interesting characters that cause tension and drama on the trip. Widmark plays a farmer who joins them on trip. Sally Fields appears in her first major film role as a young girl names Mercy. This is a great movie for Western fans. In addition to strong acting it features beautiful cinematography.
