Torchlighters: The Samuel Morris Story is a 2012 animated movie about the life of Samuel Morris, who was a Liberian prince and a Christian missionary. The film is produced by Voice of the Martyrs and directed by Robert Fernandez. The story takes place in the 1800s when Liberia was a colony of the United States. Samuel Morris was born in a small village in West Africa and was given the name Kaboo. At the age of fourteen, he witnessed the brutal killing of his parents and was captured by the Kru tribe, who was known for their practice of human sacrifice.

Kaboo was a strong-willed and intelligent boy who quickly learned the Kru language and was treated as a son by the tribe's elders. One day, Kaboo was assigned to go on a fishing trip with some of the Kru warriors. During the trip, a violent storm hit the boat, and all the crewmembers perished except for Kaboo, who was washed ashore in the United States.

Kaboo was found by Rev. Harvey Law, who took him in and taught him the English language. Rev. Law soon discovered that Kaboo was a devout Christian who had already memorized large parts of the Bible, despite having never read it. Kaboo changed his name to Samuel Morris in honor of Rev. Samuel Morris, who had once inspired him.

Samuel quickly became well-known in his community for his intelligence, his strength of character, and his deep faith. He was a vocal witness for Christ and even preached in church, despite being a teenager. Samuel's unwavering faith and his calm demeanor in the face of adversity caught the attention of other Christians, and soon he was asked to speak at revivals and meetings throughout the country.

Samuel Morris's story is one of great faith and courage in the face of tragedy and adversity. The film does an excellent job of capturing the essence of Samuel's character and his unwavering faith.
