When a group of young, rich friends set out for a deep sea fishing trip aboard a million-dollar boat, a fire breaks out, destroying the electrical system and leaving them stranded in the Atlantic. Their situation attracts the attention of an ancient clan of seamen who inhabit the marshy islands nearby and detest outsiders. The boaters are captured, drugged and held on a small island with no apparent means of escape.
