Zapped! is a 1982 comedy about a high school boy who develops telekinetic powers after a laboratory accident. Starring Scott Baio and Willie Aames, it is a loose parody of the 1976 iconic movie, Carrie, along with spoofs of other films such as the Exorcist, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, Star Trek and Taxi Driver.

Barney, a high school kid who has a strong interest in science, is an otherwise typical kid who participates in sports, gets picked on my bullies, and attracted to a pretty, yet snobbish cheerleader and prom queen by the name of Jane. After an accident in the laboratory while working on an experiment, Barney gains telekinetic powers and finds out that those powers come in handy. With the help of his best friend, a dirty minded playboy by the name of Payton and class president, feminist Bernadette, he takes revenge on the bullies, cheat at sports, and a number of other antics.
