- 55 Seasons
See Dad Run is an American situation comedy about a father reconnecting with his wife and children. David Hobbs, played by Scott Baio, is a television actor who spent the last 10 years playing a fictional father on a very popular sitcom. When his show ends, David decides to devote his time as a stay-at-home dad while his wife, played by Alanna Ubach, returns to her former career as a soap opera actress. There are three children in the Hobbs household. Emily, portrayed by Ryan Newman, is the eldest of the three and the one who has the hardest time dealing with the parenting change. The middle Hobbs child, Joe, played by Jackson Brundage, is glad his father is home to save him from his sisters. Janie, played by Bailey Michelle Brown, is the youngest Hobbs and the one who capitulates to Joe's sometimes crazy ideas about playtime. With David not knowing the day-to-day operations of the Hobbs household, and his children not knowing who he is, the transition is hard on everyone. Luckily, David has help in the form of two employees from his former sitcom. Kevin, portrayed by Ramy Youssef, is David's former production assistant and current helper around the Hobbs home. Marcus, played by Mark Curry, is the former head writer and David's next door neighbor. Together, they help David get to know his children a bit better. See Dad Run is a production of Katlin/Bernstein Productions in association with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment and Nickelodeon Productions. Created by Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux, the multi-camera comedy was greenlit as a pilot back in October of 2011. Known then under the working title of Daddy's Home, the series was picked up for 20 episodes. The premiere of See Dad Run aired October 6, 2012 on Nick at Nite.
