Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost is an American television series that follows former Supernanny star Jo Frost as she travels to homes of troubled families. Frost is tasked with helping these families work through their problems and rebuild healthy relationships. Frost ended her run on Supernanny in 2010, which focused on the behavioral issues of the children and parenting difficulties. In contrast, Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost focuses on the family as a whole. The show features a variety of familial structures, such as same-sex couples and blended families. Frost has had over two decades of experience in the childcare industry and has published several books on the subject. Each episode puts this experience to the test, as well as Frost's ability to handle conflict between the adults in the family. She spends time speaking with the members of the family in attempt to gauge the ongoing issues that have plagued them. The premiere episode is centered around a family living in Huntington Beach, California. The Quinn-Davis family is made up of two parents, Julie and Don, each on their second marriage and the six teens from their previous marriages. Don has two boys and Julie has three girls and a boy. Julie's daughters are disobedient and disrespectful towards both her and Don. Her son is recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. He believes the show is simply staged for television and meant to evoke drama within his family. Julie and Don have been clear that if Frost is unable to save their family during her visit, they will be headed for divorce. Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost is produced by Bill O'Donnell. O'Donnell has produced several other reality shows, as well, including My Cat from Hell. He did not participate in the production of Supernanny. Family S.O.S.
