Ep 7. 6:00 A.M.-7:00 A.M.

In the seventh hour of the first season of "24", the stakes are higher than ever as Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) race against the clock to stop an impending terror attack on Los Angeles.

The episode picks up where the last one left off, with Jack and his team arriving at the compound where they believe Ira Gaines (Michael Massee) is holding Senator David Palmer's (Dennis Haysbert) family hostage. After a tense standoff, Jack manages to rescue Palmer's wife and daughter, but not before one of Gaines' men kills Jack's CTU colleague, Jamey Farrell (Karina Arroyave).

As the clock ticks down, Jack learns that Gaines is planning to hit a water treatment plant in order to contaminate LA's water supply with a lethal virus. Jack knows that he needs to stop Gaines before it's too late, but he's also determined to find the mole within CTU who betrayed him.

As Jack and his team race to the water plant, they encounter a heavily armed group of Gaines' men who are blocking their way. Jack and his team engage in a tense shootout, which results in the death of several terrorists and one of Jack's team members.

Meanwhile, Nina manages to gather enough evidence to prove that George Mason was the one who leaked the information to Gaines. She confronts him in his office and threatens to expose him unless he agrees to help her catch Gaines.

Back at the water plant, Jack faces off against Gaines in a dramatic final showdown. With time running out, Jack must use all of his skills as a former Delta Force operative to outsmart Gaines and prevent the virus from being released.

In the end, Jack emerges victorious, but at a heavy cost. The attack has left several people dead, including one of Jack's closest friends and colleagues. As the episode ends, Jack is left to ponder the toll that his job has taken on his personal life and he struggles to come to terms with the loss of a dear friend.

"6:00 A.M.-7:00 A.M." is a thrilling and action-packed episode that balances high-stakes drama with character development. It's a reminder that actions have consequences, and that even heroes like Jack Bauer can't save everyone.
