Ep 10. Christmas Spirit

In season 3 episode 10 of 9-1-1 titled "Christmas Spirit," the 118 team prepares for the holidays while handling a variety of emergency situations. The episode opens with Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) decorating their new home for their first Christmas together as a family. Meanwhile, Bobby (Peter Krause) and Athena (Angela Bassett) prepare for their first Christmas as husband and wife, but struggle to find time for each other due to their busy schedules.

As the day goes on, the 118 team responds to a variety of calls, including a car accident involving a family on their way to a Christmas tree lot, a man who gets his tongue stuck in a slushie machine, and a teenage girl who accidentally gets locked inside a store on Christmas Eve.

As the night draws closer, the team receives a call from an elderly woman, Mrs. Anderson, who claims that her house is haunted by the ghost of her husband who passed away the previous Christmas. Initially skeptical, the team discovers that Mrs. Anderson's husband was a firefighter who died while on duty, and is now trying to protect her from the dangers of the outside world.

As the team attempts to figure out how to help Mrs. Anderson, they are also called to respond to a fire at a local toy store. As they work together to put out the flames and save as many toys as possible, they are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of being there for others.

In the end, the team is able to help Mrs. Anderson come to terms with her husband's death and move on with her life, while also making some special memories of their own. As the episode comes to a close, Maddie and Chimney cuddle up on the couch to watch It's a Wonderful Life, Bobby and Athena finally get to spend some quality time together, and the team heads home to their loved ones, happy to have made a difference in the lives of those they helped on this special holiday.
