In the first episode of An Aurora Teagarden Mystery, titled A Bone to Pick, we're introduced to the titular character, Aurora "Roe" Teagarden (played by Candace Cameron Bure). Aurora is a librarian in the small town of Lawrenceton, Georgia, and has a penchant for solving mysteries. She's also a member of the Real Murders Club, a group of fellow crime enthusiasts who meet regularly to discuss famous cases.

Aurora's world is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious package from a recently deceased member of the club, Jane Engle. Inside the package is a key and a note that says "The next time you have a meeting, discuss the murders in this box." Intrigued, Aurora brings the box to the next Real Murders Club meeting and discovers that it contains human bones.

As Aurora delves deeper into the mystery of the bones, she uncovers a web of deceit and murder in Lawrenceton. With the help of her new neighbor, writer Robin Daniels (played by Lexa Doig), and her former beau, Detective Arthur Smith (played by Bruce Dawson), Aurora sets out to solve the case.

Along the way, Aurora finds herself in danger and facing unexpected twists and turns. But with her sharp mind and quick thinking, she's able to unravel the mystery and reveal the killer's true identity.

A Bone to Pick is a thrilling and suspenseful start to An Aurora Teagarden Mystery, introducing viewers to a charming and resourceful protagonist who's equal parts librarian and detective.
