Arabia With Levison Wood is a travel documentary series that showcases the beauty of different regions of Arabia through the eyes of British explorer Levison Wood. In season 1 episode 4, named Holy Lands, Levison set out to explore the diverse religious traditions and holy sites of Arabia.

The episode began with Levison visiting the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which is considered as one of the holiest sites in Judaism. He witnessed the thousands of worshippers who gathered there to pray and touch the wall, which is believed to be the last remains of the Second Temple. Levison spoke to a rabbi who described the significance of the wall to Judaism, and how it connects the Jewish people to their past and their faith.

From there, Levison headed towards Bethlehem, a city in the West Bank that is believed to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ. He visited the Church of the Nativity, one of the oldest churches in the world and the traditional site of Christ's birth. Levison witnessed the daily mass being held there and spoke to a priest who explained the history of the church and its importance to Christianity.

After exploring the Christian holy sites, Levison headed towards Mecca, the holiest city in Islam and the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the city, so Levison spoke with a guide who described the history of Mecca and the significance of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage that every Muslim is required to make. He also visited the Masjid al-Haram, the Grand Mosque that surrounds the Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam.

Levison then traveled to the city of Medina, which is the second holiest city in Islam after Mecca. He visited the Prophet's Mosque, where the Prophet Muhammad is buried and spoke to a scholar about the life and teachings of the prophet.

Throughout the episode, Levison also highlighted the role that religion plays in the daily lives of people in Arabia. He visited a mosque in Jerusalem where Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship together and met a Dervish in Damascus, who practices Sufism, a mystical form of Islam.

Overall, Holy Lands was a fascinating look at some of the most important religious sites in the world and the role that religion plays in Arabia. Levison's exploration of these sites, coupled with his interviews with religious leaders, experts, and ordinary people, provided a nuanced and respectful view of the diverse traditions of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.
