Danger Island – Different Modes of Preparing Fruit is the third episode of the ninth season of Archer. Set in an alternate universe, this episode continues the adventure of Sterling Archer and his gang who are stranded on a tropical island during World War II.
This episode opens with Archer suffering from amnesia after being shot by a German U-boat crew. He wakes up in a barn and finds himself being taken care of by a beautiful island native, who he promptly names Miss Macaw.
While Archer is trying to piece together his memory and figure out who he is, Malory and the gang are busy trying to get their hands on the precious black jade they need to fix the idol and get off the island. This involves them having to sell their own blood to disgraced French Foreign Legion doctor, who has set up a black market operation in the back of his truck.
As the group sets out to explore the island, they come across a beautiful waterfall and decide to take a dip. Pam, who is still suffering from her addiction to eating cocaine, finds herself in a precarious situation when she accidentally ingests a hallucinogenic fruit.
Things take a turn for the worse when the group encounters a tribe of cannibals who are determined to capture them and feast on their flesh. Archer and the gang must use all their wit and cunning to outsmart and defeat the tribe before they become dinner.
Meanwhile, back at the barn, Archer and Miss Macaw are getting to know each other, and Archer is beginning to fall for her. However, things take a dark turn when he realizes that Miss Macaw is not who she seems and is actually part of a German spy ring who is trying to get their hands on the black jade idol.
The episode ends with Archer and the gang narrowly escaping the island with the idol, and Archer finally regaining his memory and realizing the truth about Miss Macaw.
Overall, Danger Island – Different Modes of Preparing Fruit is a thrilling episode that is full of action, adventure, and humor. The subplot of Archer's amnesia adds an interesting twist to the already twisted universe, while the introduction of cannibals and a spy ring keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. The episode is also filled with hilarious one-liners and witty banter between the characters, making it a must-watch for fans of the show.
