As we dive deeper into Archer season 9's Danger Island, episode 6 titled "Some Remarks on Cannibalism" takes a more serious turn. With Archer still dealing with his amnesia, he is now on a mission to retrieve a very valuable radio from a Japanese submarine.
Throughout the episode, we see the usual comical antics of the cast, with quippy one-liners and physical humor. But, as the group faces many dangers on their mission, the topic of cannibalism arises. When food becomes scarce, the idea of resorting to cannibalism is brought up, leading to a moral dilemma for the characters.
While still maintaining its dark humor and irreverent tone, "Some Remarks on Cannibalism" delves into some deeper topics, such as survival, morality, and the lengths one will go to survive.
As always, the animation is stunning and the writing is sharp, with the voice actors bringing their A-game. Fans of Archer will not be disappointed in this episode's mix of humor and thought-provoking themes.
