Art in the Twenty-First Century is a documentary series that explores the lives and artistic practices of contemporary artists from around the world. The final segment of the episode centers on Brazilian artist Lygia Clark, whose groundbreaking work in the 1960s and 70s transformed the art world. Clark's approach to art-making was deeply rooted in the interpersonal relationships between artist, artwork, and viewer. Her sculptural pieces were often designed to be manipulated by the viewer, blurring the line between art and audience. Through her work, Clark sought to challenge the traditional boundaries of art and encourage greater participation and engagement from the viewer.

Throughout the episode, we hear from the artists themselves, as well as curators and scholars who contextualize and analyze their work. Each artist's story is presented in a thoughtful and nuanced manner, allowing viewers to gain a deeper understanding of their unique perspectives.
