In Ashes of Love Season 1, Episode 3, the story begins with Jin Mi's father, the Water God, trying to convince Jin Mi to give up on her love for Xu Feng and instead marry the Emperor of the Demon Clan. However, Jin Mi refuses to listen to her father and declares her love for Xu Feng once again, insisting that she will find a way for them to be together.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng is still trapped in the mortal realm after losing his wings in the previous episode. He meets a group of mortals who take him in and nurse him back to health, including a young girl named Xin Yue who becomes attached to him. Xu Feng is grateful for their help but is determined to find a way back to the heavenly realm and reunite with Jin Mi.
Elsewhere, the Heavenly Empress is growing suspicious of Jin Mi's actions and sends her trusted aide, Princess Yao Ji, to spy on her. Yao Ji follows Jin Mi around and discovers her secret meetings with Xu Feng, which she reports back to the Empress.
Jin Mi's father also enlists the help of his brother, the Fire God, to intervene in Jin Mi and Xu Feng's relationship. The Fire God agrees to help and uses his powers to create a magical potion that will make Jin Mi forget about Xu Feng.
As the episode progresses, Jin Mi becomes increasingly conflicted between her love for Xu Feng and her duties as the Water Immortal. She even considers drinking the potion created by the Fire God, but ultimately decides against it.
The episode ends with Jin Mi and Xu Feng finally reuniting in the mortal realm. However, their moment of happiness is short-lived as they are soon interrupted by Princess Yao Ji, who has followed them and threatens to reveal their forbidden love to the Heavenly Empress.
Overall, Ashes of Love Season 1, Episode 3 is filled with drama, emotion, and tension as the various characters begin to take action in their attempts to intervene in Jin Mi and Xu Feng's love story.
