In episode 4 of Ashes of Love season 1, the storyline takes a significant turn as Jinmi (the lead protagonist) starts to realize that unlike all the other fairies, she is unable to display or comprehend love. This is revealed when she encounters two of her friends confessing their love to each other. She expresses no enthusiasm, neither does she comprehend why they are so concerned about one another. This causes her to question what is wrong with her as she cannot experience what others feel when it comes to love.

Meanwhile, Xufeng, who is now aware of Jinmi’s true identity, embarks on a mission to protect her from those that intend to harm her. He moves to the Demon realm, where unexpected challenges await him. His primary aim is to retrieve an ancient artifact that Jinmi must have.

The Demon realm is an unforgiving and brutal destination, and Xufeng finds himself constantly under attack from the demons. Nevertheless, he remains resolute, and eventually, he manages to secure the item he sought, battling demons every step of the way.

Back in the Flower World, Jinmi remains bothered about her situation, and she turns to her fellow fairies for guidance. They offer different perspectives on the matter, some of them trying to reassure her that it’s something natural, while others take a different view of it.

However, as Jinmi is trying to come to terms with her emotions, she is visited by something even more dangerous than the demons, a mysterious person that has been sent to kill her. She manages to escape thanks to her quick instincts, but she realizes the seriousness of her situation.

Meanwhile, Xufeng returns to the Flower World, and he delivers the artifact he retrieved to his superior, the Fire God. However, he still has begun to ponder why he must prevent Jinmi from coming into power and becoming the Fairy Emperor Who Rules The World.

Towards the end of the episode, Xufeng and Jinmi bump into each other, and she helps him recover from some injuries he sustained while in the Demon realm. Here, Jinmi starts to feel something different for Xufeng. For the first time, she experiences warmth and happiness while interacting with him.

Overall, episode 4 of Ashes Of Love Season 1 delivers an engaging storyline that further develops the characters, particularly Jinmi and Xufeng. It marks a significant shift as Jinmi realizes that she is unable to experience what other fairies can, leading to questions about her identity. Additionally, it takes a different dimension as Xufeng embarks on a perilous mission to protect her, eventually leading him into the Demon realm.
