The Baroness Von Sketch Show is a Canadian sketch comedy show that revolves around the daily lives and struggles of contemporary women. The first season of the show features six 22-minute episodes, each containing a series of sketches that comment on modern society's issues with subtle humor and wit.

Episode 1, "I Can't Believe This Used to Take Days," kicks off the first season of the show with an insight into the everyday problems of women and their typical solutions. The episode features casual and hilarious commentary on some of the little things we do every day, but often overthink.

The opening sketch "Sexual Politics" features a focus group of women critiquing their partner's technique in bed. The women are blunt and straightforward, and the dialogue is delivered humorously in a manner that is both sweet and shocking.

In "Pregnancy Brain," two women discuss how they're expected to be forgetful or absent-minded while pregnant. During the sketch, they carry out an exasperating conversation with each other, attempting to complete sentences and remember words, but to no avail. They're agreeably railing at the absurdity of what being ‘expecting’ is anticipated to entail.

The sketch "Dry Cleaners" pokes fun at the tedious and mundane task of dropping off clothes for cleaning services. It shows a woman who is having difficulties with her memory in conveying her preferences while providing clothes to the cleaners. The sketch hilariously depicts the woman’s effort to get her order right and the frustration that follows.

In "Locker Room," a group of women strike up a conversation about body positivity and share their insecurities about their bodies. The sketch is both reflective and heartfelt, touching on issues that many women face and the pressure imposed by society to have perfect bodies.

"Big Natural Hair" is a skit that follows two women who discuss the challenges of getting caught in a traffic jam while they wear their hair naturally. The two women talk about the weight of their hair, and the difficulties they have driving with it. They also touch on the judgments they receive from others for the way they style their hair.

The final sketch of the episode "Pastor's Wife," features two women at a church, discussing how they deal with their roles as Pastor's Wives. The women discuss the expectations and duties that come with being married to a man in spiritual leadership which includes everything from baking casseroles to managing the payroll. The sketch is a humorous commentary on their roles and struggles while feeling limited by the expectations surrounding their positions in the church.

Overall, the first episode of Baroness Von Sketch Show is an excellent introduction to the show, and all six sketches offer intriguing insights into the everyday experiences of women of varying ages, personalities, and statuses. The depiction aims to entertain and provide laughs while shedding light on the struggles that women experience every day. The episode is well-paced, comedic, and a perfect kickoff to a great series.
