In the second season of Better Call Saul, episode six titled "Bali Ha'i," fans are once again transported to the world of Jimmy McGill, a struggling lawyer who is trying to make a name for himself in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This episode showcases Jimmy's evolution into the slick-talking, fast-dealing lawyer that fans came to know and love on Breaking Bad.

As the episode opens, Jimmy is feeling the pressure of his upcoming bar hearing, which will determine whether or not he will be allowed to practice law in New Mexico. To cope with the stress, he takes a quick trip to the courthouse men's room to smoke a joint. However, his momentary relaxation is cut short when the judge's clerk walks in, causing Jimmy to awkwardly try to hide the evidence.

Meanwhile, Jimmy's brother Chuck is still recovering from his electromagnetic sensitivity disorder, which has left him confined to his home and unable to work. Chuck is frustrated with his condition and with Jimmy, who he blames for his illness. Jimmy, in turn, is feeling guilty about his role in Chuck's downfall and is trying to make amends by bringing him food and trying to cheer him up.

In an effort to distract himself from his problems, Jimmy decides to take a meeting with a potential client, Craig Kettleman, a corrupt county treasurer who is facing legal troubles. Jimmy sees an opportunity to make a quick buck by getting Kettleman to pay him, but Kettleman is not interested in hiring Jimmy and instead hires another lawyer.

Despite this setback, Jimmy remains determined to prove himself as a lawyer and continues to search for new clients. He eventually gets a lucky break when he meets a woman named Kim who works at the law firm where he used to be employed. Kim offers to help him land a big client, but in order to do so, Jimmy must first prove himself by winning a small pro bono case.

As Jimmy works on the case, he begins to see parallels between his situation and that of his client, a man who is trying to help a group of workers at a retirement home get their jobs back. Jimmy realizes that he, too, is fighting against a system that is stacked against him and that he must do whatever it takes to prove himself.

The tension in the episode builds as Jimmy works on the pro bono case, trying to come up with a way to win. At the same time, he is dealing with the fallout from his failed meeting with Kettleman and trying to figure out how to pay his mounting bills.

In the end, Jimmy pulls off a surprise victory in the pro bono case, impressing both Kim and his former boss at the law firm. However, his triumph is bittersweet, as he knows that he still has a long way to go before he can make a real name for himself in the legal world.

Overall, "Bali Ha'i" is a standout episode of Better Call Saul, showcasing the series' trademark blend of drama, humor, and sharp writing. Fans will be left on the edge of their seats as they watch Jimmy navigate the tricky world of law and ethics, all while trying to find his place in the world. This episode is a must-see for anyone who loves great storytelling, nuanced characters, and unpredictable twists and turns.
