Ep 8. Soda Pop Shop

In episode 8 of season 2 of Big Texas Fix, titled Soda Pop Shop, hosts Michael and Ashley Cordray take on a new renovation project in the small town of Santa Fe, Texas.

The episode begins with Michael and Ashley visiting the abandoned Soda Pop Shop, a former gas station turned soda pop stand that has been closed for over a decade. The building is in disrepair, with crumbling walls, a leaky roof, and broken windows.

Despite its popularity, the shop was forced to close down due to a lack of business. Mr. and Mrs. T have held onto the property in hopes of one day reviving the Soda Pop Shop, but with their age and limited resources, they are unable to do so.

Michael and Ashley are determined to restore the Soda Pop Shop to its former glory and bring back the sense of community that it once provided. They begin by clearing out the debris and trash that has accumulated in and around the building.

Next, Michael and Ashley get to work repairing and replacing the damaged walls, roof, and windows. They enlist the help of local craftsmen to create custom woodwork and shelving to display the soda pop flavors and treats.

The Cordrays also add their own unique touches to the shop, including vintage signs, a custom mural, and a unique light fixture made from old soda pop bottles. They work tirelessly to get everything ready for the grand reopening.

Finally, the day of the grand reopening arrives and Michael and Ashley invite the entire town to celebrate with them. The shop is packed with people eager to try the soda pops and treats. Mr. and Mrs. T are overjoyed to see the shop alive again and to see the community coming together once more.
