Oh, do we have a treat for all of you Blue Heelers fans out there! It's time for the season 6 finale, and we're wrapping things up with a two-part episode titled "Rotten Apple."
Last week, we left off on quite a cliffhanger. Constable Amy Fox had managed to build a case against the corrupt local councilman, Jack Marsden, who had been involved in a corrupt scheme to sell off community-owned land to developers. However, when Jack was confronted by the police, he lashed out and took Amy hostage.
Now, in part two of "Rotten Apple," the team at Mount Thomas is left scrambling to figure out how to get Amy out of danger. Things are complicated by the fact that Jack is holding Amy in his office, which is rigged with explosives. If anyone tries to enter, the bombs will go off.
As Jack becomes more and more unhinged, tensions are running high at the station. Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon is working furiously to come up with a plan, while Constable Wayne Patterson is struggling to keep his emotions in check. Wayne has grown particularly close to Amy over the past few weeks, and the thought of her being in danger is weighing heavily on him.
Meanwhile, a number of other storylines are coming to a head. Sergeant Jo Parrish has made a shocking discovery about her family history, and she's struggling to come to terms with what she's learned. Constable Maggie Doyle and her boyfriend, PJ, are having relationship troubles, which is adding to the overall stress level at the station.
As the clock ticks down and Amy's situation becomes more precarious, the team at Mount Thomas scrambles to figure out how to save her. Will they be able to rescue her before it's too late? And what toll will the events of the past few weeks take on the already-frayed relationships between the members of the squad?
"Rotten Apple Part 2" is not to be missed. The tension is at an all-time high, the stakes are through the roof, and the performances from all of our beloved characters are as top-notch as ever. Tune in to see how it all plays out!
