In Blue Heelers season 7 episode 3, titled "Jack of Hearts," the rural police force of Mount Thomas is plunged into a gritty investigation when a gambling den is discovered in town that's significantly larger than it seems.

While Detective Adam Cooper (played by Damian Walshe-Howling) and Sergeant Tom Croydon (played by John Wood) are on the beat, they come across a warehouse that seems to be a makeshift casino. It's filled with people gambling, drinking, and having a good time. However, the owners of the establishment might not be too keen on the police busting their party, and things take a turn for the worse when a disgruntled guest stabs one of the people running the place and flees.

With a suspect out on the loose, the police immediately start combing through their list of known associates and ex-convicts. While they try to track down the perpetrator, they're also faced with a host of other issues - especially when they discover that the man who was stabbed was actually a police informant.

As the investigation deepens, the Blue Heelers team finds that the casino operation is more widespread than they initially suspected, and that the culprit behind the stabbing might be more closely linked to the police department than they ever could have imagined.

Meanwhile, Sergeant Croydon is dealing with his own problems - his daughter is pregnant out of wedlock, and her boyfriend is heading back to his home country. Croydon struggles with accepting the situation, but eventually he's forced to consider how his actions have affected his daughter's life.

Throughout "Jack of Hearts," the Blue Heelers team need to rely on their skills and intense detective work to unravel the mystery and bring the person who stabbed the informant to justice. Whether or not they'll be successful, however, is still up in the air.

The episode has a number of intense and suspenseful moments, but it also delves deeper into the individual characters on the team. Viewers can see how Cooper is struggling to adjust to fatherhood, and how Croydon is dealing with his own personal struggles.

Overall, "Jack of Hearts" is an action-packed episode that's sure to keep Blue Heelers fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
