Ep 7. Peg of Old

In Boardwalk Empire season 2 episode 7, entitled "Peg of Old," the drama continues to unfold as the stakes get even higher for all involved in the Prohibition-era underworld of Atlantic City. As the season progresses, tensions rise between Nucky Thompson, Atlantic City's de facto leader, and a number of his allies, including his brother Eli and his former protégé Jimmy Darmody.

The episode opens with Nucky and his girlfriend Margaret Schroeder attending a charity gala in support of the Women's League for Good Government. While at the event, Nucky tries to smooth things over with Eli, who has been feeling increasingly sidelined by his brother's actions. Meanwhile, Margaret disrupts the proceedings by publicly declaring her support for contraception, a controversial topic at the time.

As the party comes to an end, Nucky meets with his associate Owen Sleater to discuss their latest business dealings. However, their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Gaston Means, a shady character known for his involvement in the Teapot Dome scandal. Means has come to offer Nucky a proposition that could prove beneficial to both of them, but it remains to be seen whether or not Nucky will take him up on the offer.

Elsewhere in Atlantic City, Jimmy continues to plot against Nucky, enlisting the help of disloyal members of Nucky's inner circle. However, as Jimmy begins to make his move, he is faced with unexpected resistance from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Margaret, looking to assert herself in a male-dominated world, takes matters into her own hands by reaching out to a women's health clinic and taking a risky course of action.

As the episode progresses, old grudges are dredged up and alliances are tested, leading to a shocking turn of events that will change the course of the season and leave viewers on the edge of their seats. With stellar performances from the entire cast and expertly crafted writing, "Peg of Old" is sure to be a fan favorite episode of Boardwalk Empire.
