Ep 2. This Little Piggy Went to Surgery

In Botched by Nature season 1 episode 2, titled "This Little Piggy Went to Surgery," plastic surgeons Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow set out to help individuals with extreme physical abnormalities and deformities. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow meet with Jocelyn and her mother to discuss what can be done to improve her quality of life. They explain that they will try a combination of laser treatments and cosmetic surgery to reduce the size of the birthmark and improve Jocelyn's facial symmetry.

Next up is Tim, a firefighter whose nose was badly injured in an accident on the job. Tim's nose was partially amputated in the accident, leaving him with a large, asymmetrical scar. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow examine Tim's nose and determine that they can perform a rhinoplasty to reconstruct the damaged tissue and restore his nasal structure.

The final patient of the episode is Sarah, who has endured multiple surgeries to correct a severe cleft lip and palate. Despite these surgeries, Sarah's speech is still impaired and her nose and jaw are visibly misaligned. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow meet with Sarah to discuss corrective surgery options, including a bone graft and jaw realignment to improve her facial symmetry and speech.

Throughout the episode, viewers see the emotional journeys of these patients as they undergo surgery and recovery. There are ups and downs along the way, but ultimately the surgeons are able to help each patient to varying degrees. The episode serves as a reminder of the transformative power of plastic surgery, as well as the importance of compassionate care and support throughout the process.
