Bump (2021) Season 1 Episode 9 All Happy Families

In episode 9 of season 1 of Bump (2021), titled "All Happy Families," things get even more complicated for our main characters.

Oly's (Nathalie Morris) mother is still in town, causing tension with her father Dom (Angus Sampson). Dom is struggling to let go of his feelings for Oly and his desire to be a part of his daughter's life, despite Oly's resistance to letting him in.

Meanwhile, Sasha (Carlos Sansón Jr.) is still grappling with the revelation that Tessa (Elektra Kilbey) is his half-sister, and the two continue to forge a tentative bond. The episode sees them growing closer, as they bond over shared experiences and talk about their dad.

Harriet (Claudia Karvan) is continuing to struggle with her feelings for Angus (David Field), especially when she finds out that he has been seeing someone else. Her friend Kiki (Ioane Saula) advises her to confront Angus about his betrayal, but she's hesitant to do so.

Complicating matters even further is the arrival of Oly's sister Arlo (Shari Sebbens) and her overbearing husband Menno (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor). Arlo and Menno seem to have the perfect life on the surface, but as the episode goes on, it becomes clear that their relationship is far from perfect.

As the episode progresses, old wounds are reopened and secrets are revealed, leading to some difficult and emotional conversations between the characters. With only one episode left in the season, it remains to be seen how things will be resolved for our complex and flawed protagonists.
