Ep 4. Family Ties

Joanna Chang, the lead character and a big city lawyer with a complicated past, visits her hometown for the first time in years to help defend a group of girls who have become ill due to a vaccine administered by a local steel mill. In this episode, "Family Ties," Joanna discovers a new lead in the case and works to convince the girls' parents to join their lawsuit against the mill.

Meanwhile, Joanna's father, who is also the town's mayor, attempts to reconcile with her after years of estrangement. However, Joanna is resistant to his efforts, still harboring resentment and mistrust towards him. She also clashes with her former high school friend Billy Crawford, who is now a lawyer for the mill, and who she suspects is withholding information about the case.

As tensions rise and relationships are strained, Joanna must navigate the complicated web of family and community ties in her quest for justice for the sick girls. Will she be able to overcome her own personal demons and secure a victory for her clients?
