Ep 2. Wherever You Go

After a heart-wrenching season premiere, Burden of Truth season 3 is back with its second episode titled Wherever You Go. The episode follows lawyer Joanna Chang (Kristin Kreuk) and her team as they continue to investigate the bizarre illness outbreak in Millwood.

As the episode starts, things start to get tense as the trial date approaches, and Joanna still has no scientific explanation for the illness outbreak. She heads to the hospital to check on her friend and client Kodie (Sera-Lys McArthur) who's still recovering from her overdose. However, Kodie remains closed off and is clearly struggling to cope with the recent events. Joanna wants to help, but it's clear she has to earn Kodie's trust back first.

Meanwhile, Billy Crawford (Peter Mooney) is busy building a case against the mill owners who he believes are responsible for the environmental contamination that led to the illness outbreak. But after finding out that the defendants have already settled the case, he gets frustrated and goes out for a run to blow off some steam.

While on his run, Billy runs into the newest member of the town, a young boy named Taylor, whom the team is representing in his custody battle with his drug-addicted mother. As the investigation into Taylor's case ensues, the team discovers something that could change the entire case.

Elsewhere, Luna (Star Slade) helps a woman get justice against her abusive ex-husband, but things don't go as planned when Luna is confronted by the abuser himself. The experience leaves her shaken and questioning whether she has what it takes to be a kick-ass lawyer.

With all these different storylines unfolding, Wherever You Go proves to be an emotionally charged episode with some genuinely heart-warming moments. The episode highlights just how intertwined everyone's stories are and how they all come together as the town of Millwood continues to reel from the illness outbreak.

The episode also focuses on the importance of trust, both in personal relationships and in legal matters. Joanna's relationship with Kodie is strained as she tries to earn Kodie's trust back, while Billy struggles to accept his new team member Luna and is forced to learn to trust her as well.

Overall, Wherever You Go is a solid episode in Burden of Truth season 3.
