One day, Koji Saneyoshi and five others are recruited into the Earth Self-Defense Force. Their mission is to convince aliens trying to invade Earth to return to their home planets. They complete their duties in shifts, by making use of free time during their busy lives. As usual, the six of them are fighting over their shifts. Kaori explains that she's got some trivial errands to attend to again, and that she can't take a shift. This time, when pressed by the others, she confesses that she's poor and makes a living by selling matches and shining shoes. The others feel sorry for her. Shinko gets someone at work to switch shifts with her, while the other members decide who will stay by playing rock-paper-scissors. Shaped like a ladybug, this alien from the Samba race dwells underground on Mars by the Earthlings. He invades in revenge for his race, which evolved from a species Earthlings released on Mars. His goal is to eat up all the bad bugs on Earth. Despite passionately presenting his ambitions, the alien is ignored as Shinko is too busy trying to score Exile tickets again and Mishima devotes himself to his studies.
