The documentary following Salford City FC continues. Halfway through the season, an ill-fated trip to Ilkeston leaves Salford City's dream of a promotion in tatters. The managers are asking questions of their players, and accusations of disengagement and laziness are thrown around the dressing room. The troubles of Salford are being mirrored in Spain, where the Neville brothers are struggling in their new roles at Valencia FC. Protests from fans and poor results leave Phil and Gary facing their toughest challenge yet. Back at Moor Lane, and with the season coming to a close, Jonno and Bernard try a softer approach. Intensive training sessions and rousing team talks seem to turn the form around. Promotion now hangs on a play-off final against Workington FC, and nerves are racing on what is the biggest day in the club's history. With the famous owners and friends and family watching on, the managers must keep themselves and their players focused. Can the team continue the fairy tale?

We last saw Ryan Giggs, Phil and Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt celebrating on the pitch at Moor Lane as Salford City were crowned champions of First Division North. But it soon becomes clear that life in the new league is not going to be the same fairy-tale story as last season. With the famous owners busy with their other football commitments, a struggle to sign new players and their star striker preparing for retirement, the club need to dig deep to put the performance on the pitch that the fans now expect. Joint managers Bernard and Jonno, in addition to preparing for Bernard's wedding, guide the team through a thrilling FA Cup run, but the bubble soon bursts. A visit from arch-rivals Darlington puts the team under great pressure, and tempers flare again. Can Salford turn their fortunes around and find their winning form again?
