The show Close Enough follows the lives of a young couple, Josh and Emily, along with their daughter Candice and their two best friends, Alex and Bridgette, as they navigate the ups and downs of adulthood while still holding onto their youthfulness. Each episode centers around their relatable and sometimes absurd experiences living in Los Angeles.

In season 1 episode 2, titled "The Perfect House," the group is on a mission to find a new house after their landlord decides to sell their current one. Josh and Emily are excited to have their own place but find themselves struggling to afford it in L.A.'s competitive housing market. In an effort to impress the real estate agent and land the perfect house, Josh and Emily pretend to be a wealthy couple, dressing up in fancy clothes and driving a rented luxury car. Meanwhile, Alex and Bridgette try to help Candice adjust to the idea of leaving her childhood home.

The episode begins with Josh and Emily scouring the internet for houses within their budget, with no luck. They receive a tip from Alex about a "for sale by owner" listing and excitedly drive to the house. As they approach, they notice the house is in a rundown neighborhood, but they are pleasantly surprised when they see the inside of the house - it's stunning and everything they wanted. Just as they are about to make an offer, a real estate agent arrives, revealing that the house will be listed at over double their budget. Josh and Emily are devastated.

Feeling defeated and frustrated, they head to a fancy real estate office in hopes of finding a new home. Once inside, they meet the snobby agent, who is not impressed with their budget. In a moment of desperation, Josh and Emily pretend to be wealthy, dressing up in fancy clothes and driving a rented luxury car. They quickly realize that they might have gone too far when the agent shows them an overpriced mansion that they can't possibly afford. The couple tries to backpedal, but it's too late - the agent is convinced they are wealthy and takes them to see other expensive properties.

Meanwhile, Bridgette and Alex try to distract Candice from the stress of moving by taking her on a fun day out. They visit a candy store, a toy store, and even an arcade, but Candice is not enjoying herself because she's worried about leaving her home and her friends behind. Alex and Bridgette decide to make a list of all the things Candice loves about her current house and neighborhood, hoping to ease her fears.

Back at the real estate office, Josh and Emily are shown an incredible house that they love, but it's still too expensive. They attempt to make a deal with the agent, offering to pay above their budget if the agent throws in a few extras. To their surprise, the agent agrees, and they are thrilled to have found their dream home.

At the end of the episode, Josh and Emily move into their new place, with Alex and Bridgette helping them. Candice is hesitant at first, but once she sees that her parents' new house is perfect for their family, she starts to warm up to it. The group ends the night with a toast to new beginnings in their perfect house.

Overall, season 1 episode 2 of Close Enough is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that deals with the very relatable struggle of finding the perfect home. The characters' antics are relatable and entertaining, and their friendship adds an extra layer of warmth to the show.
