In this episode of Close Enough, JG wants to spend some quality time with his son, but he's set on taking him to a roller rink. Alex doesn't seem all that interested in going, but he's more interested in changing JG's mind when he unfortunately breaks his favorite pair of sunglasses. JG tries to cheer Alex up by offering to take him out on the town for dinner, but nothing really seems to work. In fact, things only get worse when Alex discovers that JG has taken away his phone due to his grades slipping - and he's not too pleased about this, to say the least.

Meanwhile, Emily and Bridgette are dealing with their own problems. Bridgette is struggling with the pressures of being a working mother and decides to take time off work to focus more on her family. Emily, on the other hand, is trying to figure out how to become more productive while working from home. She decides to try out a productivity app, but it backfires when she becomes too obsessed with it and starts neglecting her own personal life.

Back at the roller rink, JG and Alex finally find some common ground when they meet a group of father-son figure skaters. Alex is hesitant to join in at first, but JG is determined to show him a good time. They end up skating together and having a blast, even performing a routine in front of the other skaters. Finally, Alex feels like his relationship with his dad is coming back on track.

As the episode progresses, both couples find something they were looking for: Bridgette finds that taking time off work has made her a better mother, while Emily realizes she needs to take breaks from technology to enjoy other aspects of her life. Meanwhile, JG and Alex finally come to terms with their differences and find some common ground on the humble ice rink.

Throughout the episode, the animation is as quirky and colorful as ever, with plenty of humorous pop-culture references and zany character interactions. Although the show has some adult undertones, it would be perfect to watch with the whole family - especially if you're all looking for a laugh and maybe even a little bit of heartwarming father-son bonding, too. So grab a bowl of popcorn, sit back, and let Close Enough entertain you.
