The hit reality cooking competition show, Come Dine with Me Couples, is back with its second season, and in this episode, we head to the beautiful coastal town of Bournemouth, to be wowed by the cooking skills of four couples who are competing for a mouth-watering prize.

The first couple to host is the gorgeous pair, Helena and Peter, who have opted for a three-course menu filled with exotic flavours, starting with a delicious chicken and coconut soup, followed by a main course of pan-seared sea bass on a bed of spicy roasted vegetables, with a side of cinnamon-infused sweet potatoes. For dessert, they have prepared a delectable spiced pear crumble with a side of homemade rum ice cream.

Next up, we have the stylish couple, Tom and Lisa, who take us on an epicurean journey with their three-course French menu. They start with a classic French onion soup with homemade warm bread, followed by a succulent beef Wellington with truffle oil mash and roasted vegetables. For dessert, they have prepared the quintessentially French crème brûlée, with a dash of orange zest and a side of homemade madeleines.

The third couple is the fun-loving duo, Dave and Hannah, who take us on a nostalgic ride with their retro-inspired menu. They kick off with classic prawn cocktail served in avocado cups, followed by a mouth-watering roasted chicken with stuffing balls, creamy mashed potatoes and a side of roasted veggies. For dessert, they have prepared a throwback to childhood – an Eton mess with a surprise twist.

Last but not the least, we have the creative couple, Ben and Maya, who have opted for a menu that is not only delicious but also visually stunning. They start with a colourful beetroot gazpacho with crème fraiche swirls, followed by a show-stopping pork belly dish with crispy crackling, buttery greens and a side of creamy mash. For dessert, they have prepared the chocolate lover’s dream – a dark chocolate mousse with a hint of chilli and a side of homemade honeycomb.

As the episodes progress, and we get to see the dynamics between the couples unfold, we can’t help but be entertained by the playful banter, the gentle ribbing, and the occasional bickering that comes with cooking under pressure.

While the contestants battle it out in the kitchen, they must also pay attention to their hospitality skills, as they must earn points not just for their food but also for the overall dining experience they have created. From the table decor to the wine selection, every little detail counts, and the couples must be on top of their game if they want to walk away with the coveted prize of £1000.

So, come along for the ride, and experience the joy and drama of Come Dine with Me Couples, as we witness the culinary creativity and social skills of our contestants, all while enjoying a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
