Ep 2. #TurntUp

#TurntUp is the second episode of the second season of Degrassi: Next Class. The episode follows several storylines, each focused on a different group of characters.

One storyline features Maya, who is still struggling to cope with the aftermath of her boyfriend Cam's suicide. She is asked to perform a tribute to him at a school assembly, which brings up painful memories and triggers her anxiety. Meanwhile, Zig is dealing with his own guilt over his role in Cam's death, and tries to connect with Maya to offer his support.

Another storyline focuses on the school's power struggle. Frankie runs for student council president, but faces stiff competition from Esme, a new student who is not above using underhanded tactics to win. Finally, Hunter is dealing with his own problems at home, as his father struggles with depression. Hunter turns to Yael for support, but his behavior becomes increasingly erratic and he begins to push her away.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise and conflicts come to a head. Maya and Zig both confront their feelings about Cam's death, while Frankie and Esme compete in a dramatic and unexpected debate. Hunter's behavior comes to a head in a tense confrontation with Yael.

Throughout it all, the characters of Degrassi: Next Class grapple with the challenges of growing up and finding their places in the world. With its relatable storylines and diverse cast of characters, #TurntUp is a compelling episode that highlights the strengths of the series.
